Powerboat Refresher Course

Friendly yet held us accountable to ensure we had the hands on skills and confidence. Did this course with my son to learn together. Highly recommended!

I have had 5 boating lessons with Tristian in 2024 @ Akuna Bay. There is a lot to learn about boating and safety.Tristian downloaded this information where it was understandable and practical.I feel much more confident behind the wheel now. thanks again !

Highly recommend Tristan and Boatwise to get your boat training! The booking process was super smooth, Tristian communicated with us multiple times before the course to ensure we were prepared well. Dave, our instructor for the day, was incredibly professional and friendly. He was a wealth of information and a highly skilled boarder. We were out on a very cold and windy September Sunday, Dave made sure that we learnt our basic boat skills in that choppy water in an amazing way. We did this training as a family - 2 adults and our 13 year old. There were 2 others with us doing the course. Everyone had a go (sometimes multiple times) to make sure we had learnt that particular skill (parking, mooring, anchoring, etc) and despite the horrid weather, we had a boat load of fun 😁. Thanks a tonne, Dave! Tristian followed up the next day on how we go about getting our boat license. 👍🏼 Tristian and Dave both mentioned that they'd be willing to help out with boat questions in the future, a huge thank you for the lovely service! In all, we are very glad we went with Boatwise. There are a lot of choices out there, you will absolutely NOT go wrong with Boatwise!

Excellent and professionally run boat course. Lots of opportunities for hands on training. Beats a class room course hands down.

Tristan is extremely good at teaching everything you need to know to drive a boat from the ground up. In four hours he had me anchoring, mooring, driving confidently on the harbour and reverse parking at the marina, when I’d never previously driven a boat. Can’t wait for my next lesson!

Highly recommend Boatwise! We had a wonderful day on the harbour learning about boating in a practical and fun way, and our instructor, Alan, was exceptional.

My partner and I had a fantastic experience on the boat course we completed with Boatwise. Tristan made the booking process straight forward and efficient. Following completion of the course Tristan has been supportive on the next steps and with offering guidance on our own boat. The course was completed on a beautiful RIB with Dave, an exceptionally knowledgeable sailor, who explained everything very well. We would highly recommend this course and cannot thank Tristan and Dave enough.

We've had some excellent individual and group lessons from Tristian and Dave over the last 3+ months. What started off as very hesitant and accident prone boating, has now become much more confident and with the entire family passed our boating license too. Couldn't have done it without you guys.

Not only a beautiful day out on the water, but incredibly information boat licence course with Alan. Thank you Alan for taking my family and I through all the safety and logistical requirements of the boat licence course. We had a lot of fun during the process and left feeling like we had picked up a lot of useful information in a way that was easy to understand and replicate. Tristian was great, he taught us so much in a span of less than 3 hours on our boat. He showed what was most important about boat safety and to manoeuvre our first large vessel. Highly recommend Tristian and Boat wise.
