Tristan is a great teacher and skipper. Was very patient out on the water and helped refine our skills. Taught us a bunch of new tricks as well as what to consider in order to improve our seamanship. Would highly recommend!

We have been advised by NSW Maritime that the Safe Water Mark, near Bradleys Head, has been removed and a temporary special marker is in place in a new location. The temporary special mark will be in place until an appropriately sized permanent buoy can be sourced.

Ferries and other commercial vessels navigating outbound toward Manly and parts of the harbour to the north will keep the special mark on their port side as they would have the safe water mark.

This will affect the usual direction and movement of ferry and ship traffic on Sydney Harbour, as the marker is positioned further east.

Refer to the Safety Notice from NSW Maritime for further information, can’t find it? Shoot us a DM and we will send it to you.

Happy boating!

Is Your Lifejacket Ready to Save Your Life?

Don’t get caught off guard! An inflatable lifejacket with a rusty or damaged CO2 cylinder won’t inflate when you need it most. Make sure your lifejacket is ready for action! ✅

Here’s a quick safety check:

✅ Service: Is your lifejacket serviced according to the manufacturer’s instructions? Many require yearly servicing.
✅ CO2 Cylinder: Look for any signs of rust or damage. A rusty cylinder could fail to inflate the jacket.
✅ General Wear & Tear: Inspect the lifejacket for rips, tears, or loose stitching.
✅ Auto-Inflation (if applicable): Ensure the auto-inflation cartridge is securely fastened and hasn’t expired.
Remember, a properly maintained lifejacket is your best friend in an emergency! ✅

Want to learn more about lifejacket care: Shoot us a message!

Safe boating friends! 🛟

Did you know that discharging untreated sewage from your boat into NSW waters is illegal? 🚫

The Marine Pollution Regulation 2014 strictly prohibits this harmful practice.

Here’s what you need to know:

No dumping: All sewage must be discharged or deposited into a waste collection facility.
No onboard systems: Onboard sewage systems are not approved for use in NSW waters.
Let’s protect our beautiful waterways together. 🌊

For recreational vessels, your options for sewage storage are:

An onboard toilet with a holding tank
A small portable toilet with a holding tank
Onshore toilets
Houseboats must have an onboard toilet with a holding tank.

Raw sewage from a holding tank must be discharged at a pumpout facility or toilet.

Important note: From 25 March 2024, both the master and owner of a recreational vessel with a sewage system will be guilty of an offense if the system is defective or has been altered to allow sewage discharge into State waters.

Let’s all do our part to keep our waterways clean and healthy! 😄
