I recently completed my Powerboat Handling course with Boatwise in Drummoyne. We were trained by Alan who I could not recommend enough. His approach is to tailor the lesson, including the theory and practical, to your own pace, so you move through quickly at times, and then when you need to focus on a difficult manoeuvre he has the patience to see you progress to confidence. We were taken out on a modern, well equiped, and comfortable high performance vessel and experienced so much of Sydney Harbour, from the starting point in Drummoyne all the way to Watsons Bay and back. Worth it for the great harbour cruise alone! If anyone is considering buying a boat and would like to get so much more than just your license, but the skills and confidence to captain your own vessel safely, then Boatwise is your solution.

I completed my license with Tristan on Sydney Harbour. It was a fantastic experience, he is diligent, knowledgeable and by the end of the day I felt comfortable and confident on the water. I'll be sure to oragnize some one-on-one trainings in the future.

A good investment spending time on the boat with Tristian, great communication skills, great knowledge of boating and of the water. I will continue to have sessions with Tristian to better my skills.

After purchasing my Princess V50, I was intimidated and unconfident at the helm. Then came Tristian. Tristian was professional, extremely knowledgeable and experienced. Most importantly he listened to what I wanted, we devised a plan together, set a time line and he then took control. He taught me A-Z of not just captaining the boat but A-Z of safety and other aspects every boat owner needs to know. Surprisingly I achieved my goal is less than half the time I thought it would take, mainly due to Tristian teaching skills. Now I am able to captain my boat with confidence and enjoy it with family and friends (also look cool :)) Tristian exceeded my expectations and I would highly recommend his services. Professional, great knowledge and enjoyable experience. Having Boat Wise assist us with knowledge and techniques for better boating skill in our own boat, as well as Sydney harbour tips and actual experience was well worth it. If anything i wish i got them involved earlier. We would have prepared our new boat better from the start as well as enjoyed our first time experience more. This has really given the confidence in using the boat around Sydney Harbour and built life long skills.
